Positions Available

Job Title: Custodial Staff

Deadline for Applications: February 28, 2021

Positions Available: 1

Full/Part Time: 20 hours per week
This position includes variable evening hours and weeks per year. During COVID and following CDC guidance, these part time positions will be required to work full time on a daily schedule. Part time will resume when regular programming continues.

Full/Part year: 52 weeks per year

Starting Pay: $14.85 per hour

Summary:
A position established for the purpose and responsibility of keeping centers clean and safe for children, families, staff and visitors and to comply with Head Start Performance Standards for facilities and child health and safety.

The job duties include but are not limited to: cleaning and/or sanitizing common areas, restrooms, furniture & fixtures, refrigerators, windows, a variety of flooring including stripping & waxing, dusting and trash removal. Custodial staff are part of a team that ensures buildings are secure.

Education and Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:
Minimum of one year of responsible experience in custodial work

Qualities and Skills:
• Experience in sanitation and safety procedures and general repair.
• Ability and willingness to work as a team member.

Job Title: Maintenance & Grounds Staff

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Summary:

Working directly under the Maintenance Supervisor, A position established for the purpose of providing maintenance services as needed i.e. plumbing, flooring, painting, electrical, locks, etc., experience with maintenance in old buildings a plus; snow removal required, and ensuring that tools, and materials are maintained in good working order and are available at job sites when needed, some custodial work required on occasion.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required, certifications a plus

Experience:

  • One year of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair. Certifications preferred.
  • Experience in sanitation procedures and general repair

Qualities and Skills:

  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of heating/cooling systems
  • Ability to understand and carry out simple oral and written directions
  • Willingness to perform custodial and other manual tasks
  • Thoroughness, dependability

Job Title: HR Generalist

Summary:

Works within the Human Resource area to support and assist all levels of internal management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors, potential candidates, interns, volunteers, and/or staff answering questions and guiding them through the Agency’s policies, procedures and benefits. Areas of focus include benefit administration, including Medical, Dental, FSA, 403(b), Life/ADD; all types of employee leave including but not limited to FMLA, MA PFML, Parental Leave, SNL and ensuring all employee hire letters and status changes are properly processed.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • HRCI PHR or SHRM CP certification a plus

Experience:

  • At least one year of full-time human resource experience strongly preferred particularly in the areas of staff recruiting, employee benefits and employee leave.
